Intern Housing Reference Guide

Housing can be difficult to find in DC. While housing opportunities are available through universities in the summer, they require more searching efforts during the school year. Some of the universities have year-round services to help students find off-campus housing. As a last resort, you can always refer to the classified section for apartments, room (furnished or unfurnished), etc. in the Washington Post. You can also check out the Washington City Paper, where they update lists of apartments every Tuesday.

Washington Intern Student Housing (WISH) is unique. Located throughout historic Capitol Hill neighborhoods with wide, tree-lined streets, WISH housing is a thoughtful choice for students who desire a location close to the nation's Capitol, Congressional offices, Library of Congress, the Supreme Court, and metro stations. Move-in is easy! Just bring your alarm clock, clothes (including comfortable shoes) and perhaps your computer. We provide all the necessary furnishings! Public transportation is excellent and Capitol Hill provides a great "walking" lifestyle. If you bring your car, please note that we do not provide parking space, and street parking often is difficult to find.
