Academy Members and partners participated in a virtual roundtable discussion on recent legislative and executive responses by states across the country concerning workers' compensation and workplace safety.
The online discussion, moderated by Les Boden, Boston University and Chair of the Academy Workers’ Compensation Data Panel, was anchored by several brief presentations on how the substantial variation in workers' compensation coverage and benefits across states highlights challenges in relying on these laws to protect workers and employers against risks posed by COVID-19. See below for additional speakers.
If you are analyzing the recent federal or state responses to COVID-19, including implications for the workers' compensation system, and would like to share your work as part of future discussions, please contact Bill Arnone, CEO, at warnone@nasi.org.
