The National Academy of Social Insurance (the Academy) and The Policy Academies are creating a brand-new graduate student research fellowship program that will focus on racial and gender wealth gaps and structural racism in U.S. public policy – and other issues to which Kilolo Kijakazi has devoted her pioneering career. The inaugural Kijakazi Fellowship Program is intended to become a permanent part of the Academy’s long-established programs to serve students and emerging leaders in social insurance and public policy.

The program was announced as part of the 2021 Ball Award on Tuesday, November 9th.
