What are cookies?

A cookie is a passcode stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive. NASI cookies do not contain any personal information (we give you the cookie, containing any connection information or web site requires.
Why do you use them?
Parts of our website are available only to NASI members. We use cookies for your convenience, so that you will not have to fill in a login for each members-only page. After the cookie expires — or when you use a different web browser or computer — you’ll see the login form again. We also use session cookies to temporarily keep track of information while you are on the site.
What about privacy?
Accepting a cookie from us in no way gives us access to your computer or any personal information about you. Only www.nasi.org can read the cookie we set, and we cannot read cookies set by other sites.
Do I have to allow NASI to set a cookie?
Public areas of www.nasi.org can be accessed with cookies disabled. However paid members-only areas do require that cookies be enabled to ensure only members can access their personal profile and no one else.
