On July 15th, 2025, the National Academy of Social Insurance was honored to bring together social insurance leaders from across the country to kick off a month of commemorations marking 90 years of Social Security. It was especially meaningful to be joined by three generations of the Roosevelt family, including Jim Roosevelt—as well as Congressman Danny Davis and Social Security Commissioner Frank Bisignano—for a wreath laying ceremony at the FDR Memorial outside the National Archives.
