Policy Perspectives with Founding Academy Members: Podcast with Henry J. Aaron

In the second of a series of podcast interviews, National Academy of Social Insurance CEO William Arnone talks with Founding Member Henry J. Aaron about the early days of the Academy. Aaron is currently the Bruce and Virginia MacLaury Senior Fellow in the Economic Studies program at the Brookings Institution. Henry and Bill reminisce about Academy founder Bob Ball (“the best advocate in time for social insurance”), the Academy’s original purpose (“to elevate the discourse and train new people”), and whether or not the Academy is still relevant (“…needed now more than ever”). Listen now.
